Digital CitizenshipHow many times a day do you ask a student to put their phone away? Is it every period? Do you have a cell phone use policy in your classroom? Does your school? How is the disruption dealt with at West Valley? What works for you and what doesn't? Are you supported by administration? What do you wish we could do as a school?
I am concerned about the use of cell phones on campus. On one hand, they have proven to be a great resource tool for education. On the other hand, they have unfortunately been used inappropriately on campus for the sending of explicit photographs, snapping a quick photo of a test, communicating threats as well as a source of music to be played as the teacher is speaking.
